BTW, I have to give you a testimonial about my electric filter! A week or two ago I noticed this awful stink in my house that seemed to be coming up from the crawl space. I wondered if something was dead under there or if the skunks that had lived under there all winter had left poop and spray that was being "enhanced" by the hot humid weather. In any case, it has been really foul and wouldn't even cover up with incense and candles. Then I had the idea of turning on the furnace fan with the heat off just to recirculate the air. 24 hours later, the smell is completely gone!! I am so happy!

My wife and I purchased a new home in Lakeside, Arizona, in the fall of 2009. Lakeside is at an elevation of about 6,000-feet and is located in Navajo County in the northeast corner of the state. Being a lowlander, I had no real experience with the energy demands of winter at a high elevation and I decided to just let my old 3-ton straight cool split system with a heat strip do the job by setting the thermostat at 50-degrees Fahrenheit.

The electric bills that I started getting, which approached $300 a month, blew me away. I knew I couldn't stand to have such an inefficient heating system and, in December of 2009, I contacted Gardner Heating & Refrigeration, a heating and cooling company located in Lakeside. Their professional representatives immediately returned my e-mail and set up a meeting to discuss alternatives to my inefficient system.

We discussed various alternatives, including Train, but after Gardner Heating's presentation, it seemed to me that AMANA had the best equipment on the market, and we decided to purchase a new Amana Model ASZ180481 4-ton, 18-seer heat pump condenser with matching coil/blower unit with auxiliary heat strip. This charge cost us more than $10,000.

Was it worth it? Absolutely! I still keep the house at 50-degrees when we're gone, but since the AMANA system installation, our electric bill immediately dropped from almost $300 a month to $112.41 for the first month after the installation and, during the second month, it dropped to $71.44.

During the period covered by these drastic electric bill reductions, the weather in Lakeside has remained the same—COLD!

I'm totally satisfied with AMANA and I can't give Gardner Heating & Refrigeration anything but the highest recommendation. I'm 67-years-old and doing business with Gardner Heating is like doing business with your trusted specialists from a bygone era - they said what they'd do and did what they said.

Hello Ray,
I would like to take time to comment on your work crew. We were very pleased at their level of professionalism and workmanship. Having been through the previous nightmare we observed them very closely. First of all, they were always prompt to arrive. They kept us informed of their progress everyday. As you are aware, this was not the easiest of installations. The lead man was very fussy about things being exactly right on the ductwork. Both men were always polite and seemed to take pride in their workmanship. I am physically restricted from getting down on the ground, so the process was explained to me in detail.

This is the first time that we have been able to enjoy our Trane furnace, even though we have had it for almost 1 year. The third gentleman, who did most of the final reinstall, explained the system and was able to route the flue so that we had access to our filters.

I hope that you will convey my appreciation as a customer to all 3 of these employees.

Your company certainly surpassed your TV ad claims and really do care about old-fashioned customer service. What a rarity for this location. You can be assured that when our annual maintenance service comes due that Gardner Heating & Refrigeration will be our choice.

As soon as Claudia answers the phone you know you have the right company for your heating or cooling needs. I called 5 companies and all they wanted to do was call me back later or send an estimator. No one wanted to just answer my questions. Claudia answered a few questions and setup a service call for me right away. Carl, the technician, along with Ray came and found the problem a few hours later. They gave me the options along with their recommendations. It was very easy to come to a conclusion. They ordered our new Trane furnace and did an excellent installation. They did more than was expected and I would recommend Gardner Heating & Refrigeration 100%.

I can't thank you enough for my Trane Clean Effects™ air filter. Before you installed it last year, I had so much bird dust from my 2 cockatiels and cat hair from the 4 kitties that I could actually see it in the air when the sun came in my windows at sunset.
